I asked Simon to sign his Uncle Art's belated birthday card this morning. He asked me how to spell "I love you - but with a heart for love" so I wrote it down quickly and went back to preparing his breakfast. He wrote the most beautiful "I (heart) You" on the very first try and was very proud. His teachers say he is becoming increasingly interested in writing on the letter board at school. A few days ago he wrote a "menu" that included a bunch of real letters forming fake words in a list. Real writing and reading is just around the corner.
